What is WSPE?

The Washington Society of Professional Engineers (WSPE) is the state society of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Our 550 statewide members are organized into eleven local chapters with monthly activities. WSPE is an integral part of the professional activities of Washington engineers. The association also serves the public as the expert resource for information about the engineering profession. Involvement with WSPE offers excellent exposure for companies interested in reaching engineers across the state representing industry, government, private practice, education and construction.

WSPE Invites Your Participation in the "WSPE Friends" Program

The "WSPE Friends" program provides a means for your firm to associate with WSPE, show your support for the engineering profession, and reap the many benefits of being a WSPE Friend. By becoming a WSPE Friend, your firm joins WSPE in its mission to promote the ethical, competent, and licensed practice of engineering and to enhance the professional, social and economic well-being of its members.

To carry out our mission, WSPE members participate in a broad range of activities including advising state legislators and public officials about the feasibility of proposed and existing legislation; conducting middle-school mathematics contests; participating in high school career days, and awarding college scholarships to engineering students.

Benefits of Participation

With your financial support, WSPE can focus its resources on serving the engineering profession and representing the profession to the public. At the same time, you will enjoy tangible personal benefits as well as high visibility and access to WSPE members.

The levels of participation are designated Silver, Gold, and Platinum. A description of each level is as follows:

Silver Friends ($500)

  • Listing and link on the WSPE web site, www.washingtonengineer.org .
  • Subscription for access to the WSPE web site including the searchable membership directory.
  • Listing in the Washington Professional Engineer newsletter.
  • Three (3) annual Subscriptions to the Washington Professional Engineer newsletter.
  • Fifty percent (50%) discount on annual placement of a business card ad in the Washington Professional Engineer newsletter.
  • Chapter presentation and recognition.
  • Membership plaque.
  • WSPE Friends designation for your letterhead.
  • Up to three (3) complimentary position available ads for PEs or EITs in each issue of the magazine or newsletter.
  • Three (3) coupons for ten percent (10%) discount to be applied to WSPE state meetings or seminars, WSPE products and publications, or advertising in WSPE publications.

Gold Friends ($1000)
(Additional benefits beyond Silver level)

  • Public Policy e-mail alerts.
  • Ten percent (10%) discount on newsletter advertisements of one half page or larger.
  • Ten (10) annual subscriptions to the Washington Professional Engineer newsletter.
  • One complimentary set of WSPE membership mailing labels annually.
  • Annual placement of one business card ad in the Washington Professional Engineer newsletter
  • Twenty-five percent (25%) discount on exhibit booth (when available) at WSPE sponsored events.
  • Newsletter vignette upon initial joining.
  • Ten (10) coupons for ten percent discount to be applied to WSPE state meetings or seminars, WSPE products and publications, or advertising in WSPE publications.
  • Up to five (5) complimentary position available ads for PEs or EITs in each issue of the magazine or newsletter.

Platinum Friends ($1500)
(Additional benefits beyond Silver and Gold level)

  • One half page advertisement in each issue of the Washington Professional Engineer newsletter.
  • Twenty-five (25) annual subscriptions to the Washington Professional Engineer newsletter.
  • Reserved table at annual banquet for registered guests.
  • Exhibit booth (when available) at WSPE sponsored events.
  • Yearly full page feature article in the Washington Professional Engineer newsletter.
  • Twenty-five (25) coupons for ten percent (10%) discount to be applied to WSPE state meetings or seminars, WSPE products and publications, or advertising in WSPE publications.
